Pascale Bechara Mashaalani or better known as Pascale Machaalani, born March 27, 1964 (Arabic: باسكال مشعلاني‎) is a Murex D'or Award nominated Lebanese singer. Her debut album Sahar Sahar rose her to stardom throughout the Middle East, making Mashalaani one of the most successful female artistes in the 90's Lebanon. She released her second and third albums, Nazrat Ayounak and Banadi with continued success. Her seventh studio album, Nour el Shams released in 2002 was a phenomenal success which exceeded sales of 250,000[citation needed] thus making her the first Arab singer to be certified double platinum[citation needed]. She has released thirteen hit studio albums and twenty-seven singles.
Machaalani is currently one of the most active Lebanese singers and has performed in a number countries, beginning from her native Lebanon to Europe and USA. She is signed to Rotana, the biggest record company in the Middle East.


Early years
Her father passed away before her first birthday. Her mother took care of her with the help of her eldest sister and brother who has accompanied her since the beginning of her career. Her brother is currently her business manager. In addition, Machaalani has described her mother as her idol.
Machaalani is of French origin.
Musical career
The composer Ihsan Al Munzer and the poet Toufiq Barakat discovered her talent.[citation needed] The beginning of her career was with her first album Sahar Sahar by the composer Dr. Jamal Salameh and the poet Abed Rahman Al Abnoudi. Pascale has worked with many Lebanon|Lebanese and Arabic composers and poets in her career.
Her seventh studio album, Nour el Shams (The Light from the Sun) was a blockbuster success and became one of the biggest selling albums in the Middle East. The main song of the album was featured in the hit movie, Spy Game which featured Brad Pitt and Robert Redford.
In addition, Machaalani was crowned the Beauty Queen of Zahleh, Lebanon, when she was 13 years of age.

Dernier enfant d 'une famille libanaise, Pascale bechara bachalany est nee le 27 mars a jdeideh - zalka . elle a grandi a jounieh .
باسكال مشعلاني Orpheline de pére, sa mére pris en charge son éducation avec une aide de ses deux ainnées Dalida et Elie . Celui ci accompagne, plus tard Pascale des le debut de sa carrière.
Ses hobbies: Le voyage, decouverte des pays, jogging, shopping, équitation, lecture, la nature, lamer, la montagne et se reposer devant un filme arabe ou americain.
Le compositeur Ihsan Al mounzer et le poete barakat furent les premiers a reconnaitre en elle une grande "star". Som premier album "sahar sahar " lui a donne une grande renommee parmi le public de la chanson arabe ses compositeurs et ses poetes . Le golden lui fut remis pour son album "banadi" en 1994 et "khayala "et en Australie quand elle a gagne la première place du top ten " selon les statistics qui ont dures 6 mois.
Elle a aussi ete la première chanteuse arabe invitee en Malysie par "warner company" suite au success qu elle obtenue pour sa chanson "nour el chasms " Les ventes ont attaint le quart de million . Sur ce elle a recut le prix du double platinium .
En malysie nom seulement elle a chante Durant deux semaines mais aussi elle a fait un "promo tour " ou le people malysien a chante avec elle alors qu il ne connaissait pas la langue arabe … cetait une veritable reussite . On lui donne le prix "dereh takrim " de l'armee Libanaise sur sa chanson "zalghet ya loubnan " .
Elle a aussi participee a plusieurs festivals de la chanson arabe notons : Tunisie : a Kartage et dans d 'autre lieux aussi . Égypte de ces principales fetes en haut de la pyramide . Syrie festival al mahaba .
Sans oublier les festivals de la Jordanie Libye, Oman, Emirates, Al ayn, Dubai, Kouwait, et les fetes des colonies arabes en France, Allemagne, Londre, Danemark, Canada, Australie, Amérique. Elle fut baptisee par Georges brahim El khouty le redacteur en chef de "alchabaka " Reine de la chanson . La misique de 'nour el chamess' fut choisie par le film Americain Spy game de Robert Redford et Brad Bett . Pascale a aussi eu son experience avec la publicite ou elle a ete l actrice de Head&shoulders pour 6 mois en 1998 .

أكبر كذبة بحياتي بحياتي عنوان أغنية شهيرة للفنانة اللبنانية باسكال مشعلاني، وقد حازت هذه الأغنية على جائزة أفضل اغنية لعام 2005 في المغرب، ومنحت هذه الجائزة لباسكال من قبل القناة الثانية المغربية التابعة للتلفزيون المغربي، وجاء ذلك نتيجة استفتاء أجراه التلفزيون وتبيّن على أثره بأن أغنية "اكبر كذبة بحياتي" حصدت النجاح الكبير جماهيرياً، ونالت العدد الأكبر من الأصوات في استفتاء هذا العام، وقد لبت باسكال الدعوة الى المغرب حيث تسلّمت الجائزة بعد أن عقدت مؤتمراً صحافياً هناك، وأحيت حفلة خاصة بمناسبة استلامها الجائزة، وقد نقل الحفل مباشرة على الهواء. أغنية اكبر كذبة بحياتي هي من كلمات ايهاب عبدو، وألحان تامر عاشور، وتوزيع ملحم ابو شديد . باسكال التي أبدت سعادةً بالغة بهذا النجاح انتهت من تصوير فديو كليب لأغنيتين: الأولى بعنوان "شو بحبك " من كلمات سليم ابو جوده، والحان طارق ابو جوده، وتوزيع هادي شرارة، والثانية بعنوان "لو لسّه فاكر" من كلمات ايهاب عبدو، والحان تامر عاشور، وتوزيع ملحم ابو شديد، وكانت فكرة التصوير مميّزة، وتولّى مهمّة إخراج الكليبين ميرنا خياط، ويعرض خلال أيّام على شاشة روتانا موسيقى

أقامت شركة روتانا للصوتيات والمرئيات بحضور الفنانة اللبنانية المتالقة باسكال مشعلانى إحتفالاً في مدينة دبي ، وذلك بمناسبة إطلاق ألبومها الجديد " اكبر كذبة". الحفل الذي أقيم في الفيرجن ميغا ستور بمركز ميركاتو دبي وأخذ طابع حفلات توقيع وإمضاء الفنانيين على نسخ ألبوماتهم الجديدة شهد حضوراً كبيراً على المستوى الإعلامي ، إلى جانب جمهور الفنانة باسكال مشعلاني .. اللذين حرصوا على التواجد فى مكان الاحتفال وأخذ التوقيع الخاص بالفنانه على الالبوم. وفي نهاية الحفل عبرت الفنانه باسكال مشعلاني عن بالغ سعاتها بصدور البومها (اكبر كذبة ) والذى يتجدد من خلاله تعاونها مع شركة روتانا للصوتيات والمرئيات التى تفتخر بانها تنتمي لاسرتها الفنية الكبيرة . وتمنت باسكال مشعلاني ان ينال الالبوم اعجاب جمهورها العربي ، حيث حرصت اشد الحرص على التاني فى اختيار كلمات والحان ، ليضاف الى باقي البوماتها المميزة ولتبقى دائماً عند حسن ظن جمهورها ، الذى اعتاد منها على الفن الراقى والاغنية الجميلة. وفى نهاية الاحتفال شارك الجميع الفنانة باسكال فى قطع قالب الحلوى الذى يحمل صورتها وشعار شركة روتانا ، وذلك فى جو من البهجة والفرح بهذه المناسبة المميزة
